Purple Bucket Compost
Purple Bucket Compost (PBC) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting backyard composting in Colorado.
PBC launched in 2021, serving hundreds of residents and businesses in the Bailey, Conifer, and Evergreen areas as a Public Benefit Corporation. Founders, the McCool family, composted more than 103 TONS in their own backyard, donating a large portion of that to community gardens and parks.
Armed with the knowledge gained from those compost piles, PBC's nonprofit branch the Purple Bucket Brigade, provides FREE composting guides and training resources to anyone interested in backyard composting. Taking it a step further, PBC will provide food scrap collection buckets, shovels, and much more to volunteer community composters around Colorado. We aim to educate the curious and equip the willing! Join the mission and start composting in your own backyard today!
Together, we will create a more sustainable future for Colorado!
